little fish, big pond

Having grown up in a bilingual home, I've always liked being able to speak in different languages. I also really wanted to try and learn something that was completely out of my comfort zone, and Japanese certainly fit the bill. This past month of class has gone by so fast and I've really enjoyed learning Japanese, although learning a completely different alphabet left me winded, and that's without learning kanji.

Aside from that, I'm most excited to be able to talk to new people! Learning a new language isn't just about the language, it's also about the culture and the customs, and this world is so big that I have to start exploring somehow!

Here's to a good rest of the semester!
